Explanation from owners:
Hey XRPL Coins team,
We started the project back in 2021 and we’ve had many ups and downs but unfortunately today we are announcing that we are going to turn off the servers and close shop.
This past year things got hard while working though the Grant program which provided us with the necessary financing to keep our infrastructure up and running with very little compensation remaining for our work. Niko (XRPDEV) had to get a job, complete school, and took his attention away from the project in which he was managing our backend and parts of the database to which we do not have access to still to this day. Now without the ability to complete the 5th phase of this program we were running out of working capital fast. We put the rest of our funds towards 6 months of server fees and hired another Java developers to help work with us to complete the APIs and we’d integrate it with the front-end. After working with us for 4 weeks and getting 0 communication from Niko, we did not have the proper access to complete the work and Russell (Java Dev) decided to move on as well.
At this point we have no path to monetizing using the XRPL after all that we’ve built, partly because in the beginning when attempting to monetize our platform, we got lots of pushback and negativity in regard to profitability and partly due to the lack of functionality. With that being said, we tried our best to make this work, unfortunately we failed, and will learn from our mistakes. We have 2+ years of code in our repository and would be willing to sell the project to any potential buyers otherwise we are no longer capable of paying for the necessary services required to run a project like XRPL Coins.
We appreciate the community and thank you for believing in us but unfortunately this will be the end of a chapter for the XRPL Coins team.
